Cleaning Pointe Shoes

Is there a way to clean pointe shoes or does the body of the shoe just fall to pieces and become too mushy if you try to use anything on them?

You can remove light surface stains by gently wiping with a damp cloth. Emphasis on DAMP. If it's too wet it will ruin the integrity of the shoe.

Anything more sever than light stains and you're out of luck.

One of our girls got chewing gum stuck on there and by the time she'd tried to wash it off she pretty much had to buy a new pair.

Take care of your shoes.
