Hi,
I want to send out a flyer to all my previous families going back over the years as I'm sure many of them will now have siblings.
I want something that will stand out in the mail but won't cost a fortune. Somebody suggested postcards. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas?
Thanks,
Shelly

Marketing postcards are an excellent and cost effective way to send a reminder to your neighborhood.
Postcards stand out in the mail especially if they're professionally designed. The trick is not to cram too much information on there but provide a hook to get the recipient to respond to the postcard in some way. Whether it's to pick up the phone, take part in a trial class, come and see you perform etc.
Postcards work out to be about 10c each and qualify for bulk postage rates which if you set it up in advance can be printed directly on the card. Some printing places can also take your mailing list and print that directly on the card too and take care of mailing them for you.

My studio director always uses postcards as reminders.
She bought thousands of them and they worked out very cheap. Now whenever there's a workshop or a studio notice or something, she just prints a bunch of labels with the notice and sticks them on the back.
I guess the trick is to make them generic enough and without any dated info on them.

Oh, also, she does send out different postcards for specific events but I know there's a bigger discount on larger quantities so she got the massive order of generic cards that she always has on hand.
