Does anybody know of any good (cheap) music editing software? Don't need anything high end but just enough to slow music down and make simple cuts and fades.
Went to CompUSA and there are just tons to choose from.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
Danny.

I use Magix Music Maker
I have version 6 from ages ago and still find it really useful. You can do simple cuts and splices, fades, speed up, slow down etc.
Or if you want to get really creative it has multitrack recording capabilities where you can cross fade or add other instruments over the top of a bad cut. This is really useful for doing medlies and also for hiding harsh splices when going from sections with lots of instruments to fewer instruments or vice versa. It lets you blend the two a little better to make it less obvious.
They're up to version 12 right now which offers more options and much better MP3 support.
